Help PLGA Foundation Raise funds for Childhood Brain Tumor Research, Awareness and Family Support

Whether you want to make a donation on line, create your own PLGA fundraising team, create your own fundraising webpage, plan your own event, shop with one of the PLGA vendor partners, create your own email/mail letter writing campaign, or volunteer your time, PLGA Foundation is always grateful for your contributions.

Please feel free to download our PLGA logo in color or black and white, fundraising brochure and fact sheet for distribution at any of your fundraising initiatives!

Create your own PLGA Fundraising team!

Whether you are the PLGA patient, you have a loved one suffering from PLGA or you are just a concerned party who wants to help, start raising funds for PLGA and let US name a team after YOU!

Whatever fundraising strategy you decide to use (joining an existing event, creating your own event, letter writing campaign, etc.), we will track donations to your team and provide you with monthly feedback on your donation accomplishments! Be sure to contact us so we can also add your team to our online donation and PLGA Team roster.

Create your OWN fundraising webpage:

We've made it simple to set up your own fundraising webpage! It only takes a few minutes and you can create your own personalized page in four simple steps:

  • Go to the PLGA site at firstgiving.com and register your site name
  • Personalize your page by adding pictures, quotes, ideas, etc.
  • Set a fundraising goal
  • Email your friends and family a link to your NEW webpage!

For the more adventurous...perhaps you want to consider creating your OWN informational/fundraising website! Much like Caring Bridge or Care Pages, your site will enable you to keep your friends and family up to date on your child's progress, but it will be your own personalized PLGA website which will also help you increase awareness about low grade astrocytoma brain tumors and raise funds for PLGA research.

Check out some of the current PLGA Team websites:

We can provide you with templates, technical assistance and content to make setting up your own website an easy and fun experience! Contact us at contact@fightplga.org or call us at 914-762-3494 with questions.

Plan your own event:

Do you have a special talent or hobby you would like to share? You can organize a walk, run, golf tournament, neighborhood bake sale, bike ride, or any other fun idea you might have. Ask your friends, neighbors, family and co-workers to join you and raise money to fight PLGA brain tumors.

Tell us about your event so we can post it on our event calendar and let the rest of the PLGA community know about your efforts. Your event can act as a model and inspiration for others. Simply complete the Event Planning form and you may download the PLGA logo in color or black and white, fundraising brochure, and fact sheet for all your fundraising needs!

Create a letter writing/email campaign to SPREAD the word:

The secret to finding a cure for pediatric low grade astrocytomas is in the numbers. If we can tell enough people about the plight of our low grade glioma children and these people make donations…no matter how big or small…we will succeed in our mission. We are only as strong as the number of people that we reach out to for support.

If YOU want to make a difference in the lives of these children…reach out to friends, families, colleagues, associates, business partners etc. Let them know about the lack of research due to lack of funding. It’s easy to do. Please feel free to use our sample fundraising letters, either in pieces or in their entirety

Or send a PLGA E-Postcard!

Don’t be afraid to reach out. People like to support causes that are close to the hearts of those that they care about.

Volunteer Your Time:

PLGA Foundation has many volunteer opportunities; all skills are useful (phone calls, internet research, etc.) and project tasks can vary from 1 hour to as many as you have to give. Tell us what you enjoy doing, and how much time you have and we will find a use for your skills! email: contact@fightplga.org.

Thank you for your time and effort. Your donations will help in the fight to find kinder/gentler treatments and a cure...YOU make a difference in the quality of life and survival of children with a low grade brain tumors...because all children deserve a chance to fight for their dreams, not their lives.
